PUBLISHER'S PEACE

Ask the Publisher (Carl D. West)

This is one of my favorite segments. Ask the Publisher appears on select Wednesdays or Fridays. Whereas I'm the publisher of several digital media platforms, I answer questions from chosen readers. Subscribers send daily questions after each product hits email boxes, which is how I respond to their observations and inquiries. This is a great way to engage our loyal subscribers. I inserted three questions. Hope you enjoy asking the publisher:

inserted.

Denise: Why do you think Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson went to the Mexican border?
Publisher: He's the mayor of a city being slammed with migrants who have been detained after trying to cross the border and then deported to cities across the country. I assume he wanted to understand better--how this concern has reached such incredibly HORRIFIC proportions.

James: You talk about men being men, which you stated led you to launch your Men Motivating Men Hood Tour... what is your take on men today?

Publisher: WOW, great question. First, the men's event has two more stops--this month and next month. It's coming back in 2026. I'm a man's man... I know this. A man must not only brag about loving his community, but he must stand on the blocks and draw attention to himself as a man to let the enemies of the community know whatever they're doing that is not in line with providing a quality of life for the people of those communities is not welcomed here.

It's that simple. And when I hear men say that 'these (kids) have guns.' Honestly and respectfully, these men sound stupid. How can (kids) punk out so-called men? Unbelievable. Stand your ground and protect your family and your hood, without pause or questions! I've screamed this sentiment before: "They don't make MEN like they used to... Too many momma's boys--and men without fathers who don't know how to make real sacrifices for the things that matter most. Today, grown-ass men hide behind talk radio and social media!"

James: The world seems to be in chaos, and the government has not provided solutions and has not accurately responded to crises that challenge our society, what are your thoughts?

Publisher: The world is changing right before our eyes and we had better make preparations or be caught behind the eight ball, if you're not already... Politics is destroying our way of life. Too many folks on either side think that their side is correct and this leads to constant debates and fights that result in little to no compromise to help the citizens of this country. Also, even with new technologies that help us manage our lives better, these devices or mechanisms have also helped to advance the destruction of our civil liberties and way of life. Nothing is private and nothing is off limits. We Got it BAD! Until the next edition... I Write to Differ...
